Frequently Asked Questions:

WHERE DO YOUR SHOOTS TAKE PLACE?

You have your choose to have your session at a location of your choice or at my home studio. Often times, clients may choose their home or the home of a friend, a hotel room or bed and breakfast. All location costs must be paid for by client. Travel charges may apply. I always prefer to shoot at a location that is suitable for the look the client is going for. For example, a luxury hotel room is better fit for a sexy and romantic shoot than a vintage style shoot.

HOW LONG WILL OUR SHOOT LAST?

I suggest allowing at least 3 hours from start to finish. Makeup application will take about an hour. Shoots generally last for about one to two hours. I always want to be sure we have plenty of images to choose from!

DO I NEED TO PROVIDE MY OWN HAIR AND MAKEUP?

I leave this up to each client. Many clients like to have their hair done by their hair stylist prior to their session. I do have a professional makeup artist that I work with and she is always happy to provide that extra touch of elegance to your session. We just ask to know at time of booking if you would like to add this service so we can make sure there are no scheduling conflicts. Professional makeup application begins at $100.

DO YOU HAVE TO POST MY PHOTOS ONLINE?

Absolutely not! While your boudoir experience is very laid back and fun, I completely understand one wanting their photos to stay private. I am completely understanding of this and there will never be pressure to have your photos shared anywhere online. Just because we do a shoot doesn't mean the world has to see them. Just let me know you would rather your images stay private! Photos are only posted publicly online after I have been given permission from my clients.

WHO CHOOSES MY IMAGES?

You do! You may choose to view your photos privately on a password protected gallery on my client site or we can schedule a time where we can go through your images together. I am always happy to give recommendations on the photos!

DO I BRING MY OWN CLOTHES AND PROPS OR DO YOU PROVIDE THEM?

It is up to you to provide your own wardrobe and props for your session.

CAN I BRING A FRIEND ALONG?

Of course you can! I know you may be a little nervous and want to have a friend there by your side to make you smile or share an inside joke with. I have no problem at all with you bringing your friend. I just ask that because of the nature of the boudoir shoot, that your friend is a female and is someone you are comfortable with, so you are even more relaxed at our shoot, and not more uptight and worried.

DO YOU HAVE A CONTRACT?

There is a contract that I have all of my clients sign. It basically protects both of us against fraud or negligence. In short, it states that all images remain copy written to me and that neither of us will sell or make profit on the images without prior written consent of the all people involved. It also states that no poses or ideas were forced upon client or photographer. The contract is signed at the time of booking and returned with your 50% deposit.

DO YOU SHOOT COUPLES BOUDOIR?

I do not shoot couples boudoir. It is a personal preference and while there are other photographers out there that do and may be a better photographer for you, I have chosen not to shoot couple's boudoir.
